The goal of World Bank's flagship report „Digital-In-Health: Unlocking the Value for Everyone“ is to provide governments and other stakeholders with practical guidance on where to start, regardless of a country’s digital maturity or fiscal challenges. The World Bank remains ready to assist countries everywhere in reaching their full potential in the use of digital technologies to protect and accelerate the growth of human capital. Combining expertise across borders to promote Precision Cancer Medicine in Europe- The PCM4EU is a project under Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan by EU4Health, with partners from 15 countries across Europe. PCM4EU is about facilitating implementation of molecular cancer diagnostics for precision oncology, and the consortium consists of partners from altogether 15 countries across Europe.

In recent years, advances in three areas—methods and algorithms for training AI models, computer hardware needed to train these models, and access to large volumes of cancer data such as imaging, genomics, and clinical data—have converged, leading to promising new applications of AI in cancer research. Implemented in an ethical and scientifically rigorous manner, these uses of AI have the potential to rapidly advance cancer research, ensure better understanding of mechanisms of cancer, improve cancer screening and diagnosis, drug discovery, cancer surveillance, access and health care delivery- and create better health outcomes for all

Acccording to European Cancer Inequalities Registry, only accounting for demographic effects, the European cancer burden is expected to increase by about 38 % in terms of new cancer cases and 44 % of cancer deaths by 2040. ECIR – European Cancer Inequalities Registry is a flagship initiative of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. It provides sound and reliable data on cancer prevention and care to identify trends, disparities and inequalities between Member States and regions.
